Shop-porn!

Remember the times Mom used to control what you shop and how you shop it?
(For those who work): Now bring in mind how it felt to have your own money to spend, with anyone setting any limits, for the first time!
HUGE TRAP!
That was the point when my closet flooded the room, and it doesn't have the slightest improvement ever since!

Here's the evidence from my latest shopping tour!
Vintage-looking bag from Uterque- COULDN'T RESIST!Baby blue bag from Uterque, never had one-COULDN'T RESIST!M.J jellies, dedicated one post on them-COULDN'T RESIST!Cheap NUDE sandals-COULDN'T RESIST! (they were a bargain)Cut-offs, come on...COULDN'T RESIST!Black wild bangles from Uterque-COULDN'T RESIST!
playing around in the changing room, wearing:
Zara harem pants, gladiators from Myconos, and I love gossip t-shirt (cause I do!)
That's all
Now I am officially in a shopping ban...(yeah right...)
Try not to become me!

ADVICE: With the pictures above I am not trying to drag you into my shopaholic hell!
I recommend that you should avoid it!

All-E-y Kat!

Are you a stylish gal?
Time to help!!!
Rise awareness on Breast Cancer, by doing something as simple as ordering a funky t-shirt!
Fashion Targets Breast Cancer GR, went beyond designing a simple-boring cause tee!
This one is actually colorful, edgy, and ...wearable!
Costs nothing in relation to what it might offer in the future, especially if you consider that:
  • 1.3 million women are diagnosed with breast cancer annually worldwide
  • 465,000 die from the disease
How much saving people's lives cost? 29 euros!
Place your order (+get informed) HERE

Become an Ally with target NOW:
Mass-order t-shirts with friends, family, colleagues or whatever and wear them in groups on the 26th of June (there's also a TREAT depending on the number of tees ordered).
Ancient Greeks used to say "it's better to take measures than treating your wounds"
Helping the campaign might drive more women (& men) to see their doctors on that issue, which will reimburse them with many more "happily ever after" years!

After all:
Nice boobs are worth fighting for!!!!

My dog Siva (she was starring on a previous post!!!)
Breast cancer survivor herself, had a mastectomy 2 years ago, and now she's alive and kicking.
Felt like making a statement too! Deny her? I can't!
Here she is, wearing the t-shirt!!!
(...which is in the washing machine at the moment :P)

*being less social as a person I'll try to fulfil my Ally-duties by convincing people at work ordering.
I am thinking of convising people of the opposite sex! This should be my challenge!!!
I am an Ally Kat now!!!!

Plagiarism, oh my gosh!

Borrowed the title from Battered Couture to post an outfit inspired by Gala Gonzalez.
Most of you know that Spanish it girl because of her edgy London-style and her Rapunzel-like hair.
If you don't, and you're into fashion blogging I suggest that you should visit hers right away:here
It's tough not to get affected by other bloggers if you spend ridiculous amount of time gazing upon them.
I checked that nude outfit, after having bought my beige Badila dress, and I had this mental image.
Can't say I copy-pasted it exactly because her dress is ankle-long, mine is shorter.
+ she matched it with nude accessories, I went with black ones.

It's been a long since the last time an animated friend of mine paid a visit.
Caroline haunted one of my pictures just to remind me not to miss her Hollywood debut, where
she finds another world that is a strangely idealized version of her frustrating home, but it has sinister secrets.
I suggest that you won't miss either her escape from the pages of Neil Gaiman's book, into a film directed by Henry Selick!

dress: Badila, shirt: American Vintage, Shoes: DKNY, bag: TOPSHOP

Well done Barbie...!!

If they sting you, you don't have to pee on it, and they come in fab colors too.
Those are the jellies that conquered the world!

Plastic material can take every possible form, it's hard to be worn, and may be extremely gentle to the feet.
Who could have ever imagined, that a Barbie shoe would inspire the most brilliant idea for people to buy affordable designer footwear.
Marni, Marc Jacobs, See by Chloe, and Tory Burch, all of them launched a jelly line, including mostly ballerina-flats but sandals
as well.

Melissa designs though can only be described as a plastic heaven, since as a market leader in this PVC industry, it provides hundreds of different designs in which I may drool all over for ages!

Tory Burch:

Givenchy:
Kartell ( :P ):
Melissa:
BUT, apart from some Feng-Shoe plastic sandals, and as weird as it may sound for a compulsive buyier like me, I haven't gone into buying any of them.
I am quite concerned about how hot will my foot feel in them during those hot months of the summer.
In anyways, they look so cute I am thinking of buying those Kartell ones, and gracefully diregard my burning toes...!!

Art Athina 2009

It's beyond the shadow of any doubt, that Art Athina was, is, and will be, my #1 arty event.
So many artists, so many different styles, nice stuff, funny stuff, even twisted stuff, all together in one exhibition. I felt, not even the slightest sign of boredom in there.
Can't say more, my Sunday was a bliss!Take a look...
(Lopi already covered it with success, so that's what's left...)

Nice stuff:
Cartoony stuff:

Laughs:
My personal favorite:
Alexandros vasmoulakis
(or else zap51)
If I ever meet him I'll try to convince him to paint my future house...

Although I enjoyed everything can't help but evoking older such events, where there were more installations, and playful stuff.

+Having mentioned the "twisted" element of the exhibition, check out what was going on in the opening, HERE...
Art? or what?

Leaving without buying something? nooo....

Mickey-Myconos

Most days in the Island sun was shinning bright! Last day was kinda moody.
Woke-up, wore my bathing suit, clothed in summery stuff, and then it hit me to open the window.
Turns out, I was wearing the most innapropriate outfit for the day.
I quickly changed into a more weather appropriate one.
Couldn't shut my feet in something other than sandals though!
tee: Disney Couture, Long cardigan: Zara, Skinnies: MNG, sandals: BCBGgirl, bag: L.K Bennett, glasses: you know...!

...Since sometimes cartoon heroes accidentally bump into my blog pictures, this time I decided to take one with me.
Here I present you with Mickey, during his very youth, wandering around my Disney Couture shirt.
Is anyone aware of Disney Couture? I wasn't, & as it turns out it has the loveliest tees and the cutest jewellery (Being a cartoon addict, I know...).
I found the tees @ Nodus in Piraeus yet I haven't spotted the jewels in Greece! Take a look here.

Having seen Nicole Ritchie's obsession with that blue wrist bracelet, can't help but desperately want one!!

Moooom? I'm in a mag!!!

Lopi in a past comment said she was gonna post her Glamour page, yet not the whole article, for people to actually buy the magazine!!
Followed her advice and didn't post anything, till everybody's having their page posted!!!
Jealous as I am (bit proud as well) I present you, not my 15 minutes of fame, but my one page of it!!
In the mag's pic: denim's mine, top ain't mine! I was wearing nude-color shirt and I've had it changed cause it wouldn't stand-out in plain white background.
Can't say floral is my thing though!

Other bloggers said pretty much everything about the experience (including me in a previous post) so I have nothing to say, except one more BIG thanx to Ama-lucky and the Glamour girls!

+In June's issue there's a tee-gift! So here I am posing next to my work of art, (from school years I have no clue if there's any skill left) rocking it!

dress: H&M, shoes: Zara, belt: accessorize, fringed vest: AA
